Reflection
In this project we were split up into assigned groups that had to come up with a original skit that used reflexive verbs and had multiple focus vocabulary which varied from location, restaurant, airport, and adventure vocab. The type of cultural research that we had to incorporate was appropriate images of what the location of our skit looked like, the currency, and the type of transportation that is generally used in the country. The category that my group was put in was location and we had to use vocabulary that related to it and incorporate them into our skit. The process of collaborating with my group to figure out what we were going to say and practicing how we were going to act was very enjoyable and fun! I was not only able to implement what I was learning from Spanish so far this year into a possible real life scenario but I was also able to get closer and learn more about my new friends that I have gained this year.
This project and the final product that came out of it had many positive aspects that ranged from being able to feel more confident about speaking another language in front of a audience, to widening my knowledge of the unique culture of another country. In the beginning of Spanish 2 I was not sure of myself on how well I would do in this class, but as the semester came to an ending, I had a renewed sense of confidence and motivation to keep pushing myself to get better. Also through our skit I was able to get a better understanding of multiple language tools that could be used when someone is traveling to another country that speaks another language. This project was not only fun and entertaining for us students that were involved in the skits but we were also able to bring some joy into the members of our community. In the end this project helped me grow as a young adult and I am looking forward for many more to come.
